Timbre: Are the different sounds that each instrument can make.
- Online: Form a jazz band/join the jazz band. Through the PBS Kids website i found a game that can teach children different things about music. they can learn about different instrument, the history of jazz, quiz on some of the concepts… matching game.
Make an Instrument: use the children imagination and let them create their own instruments. Teachers can do that in an art class.
· For example they can use an old shoe box, rubber bands some decorations. Decorate the inside of the shoe box. Then place the rubber bands around the box. After you are finished you can say that you created a form of string instrument.
- Empty bottles big small medium can make different sounds. Fill these bottles with different kind and shapes of dry beans. It will be colorful and make different sounds.
